EDA-EQ3100

The EDA-EQ3100 is a forward path equalizing amplifier. It is used on long cable runs (150 feet or more) to compensate for typical cabling characteristics. On long cable runs, signal strength on higher channels tend to degrade faster than lower channels. With standard amplifiers, what ends up happening is that the signal becomes too strong on some channels (lower) and too weak on other channels (higher). The EDA-EQ3100 corrects this by incorporating a variable boost into the amplifier circuitry. The EQ3100 amplifies less on lower frequencies, and more on the higher frequencies. Includes Power Supply

Power Cable: You will need a coax cable to connect the Power Supply To the Amplifier. This is not included in the package as the distance from where the amp is mounted to the wall outlet will vary by installation. We stock pre-made sizes or We cut coaxial cables to length! OPTIONAL ACCESSORY - Demarcation Enclosure: A Coax Demarcation Enclosure provides a secure compartment for terminating coax, and mounting any combination of splitters and/or ground blocks. They can be used indoors or outside, however please note if the amplifier is installed outside a Demarcation Enclosure will be necessary to protect it from the elements.
